Dale Jones Memorial Photography Contest The Mint Hill Scottish Society, Inc.
presents the 2nd Dale Jones Memorial Photography Contest. In 2007 several photographers entered their work in the 1st Dale Jones Memorial Photography Contest. James Shaffer of Concord, NC was our winner and will have his photo on the cover of this year’s program.
This contest honors the memory of Dale Jones, Mint Hill resident and owner of Near and Far Scottish. Since Dale was an avid and accomplished photographer who captured the essence of every Highland Game that he attended, the Mint Hill Scottish Society, Inc. has established a photography contest in his name. Through the establishment of this contest, two of Dale Jones’ passions will be preserved.
Photographs taken at the March 28-29, 2008 Mint Hill Highland Games will be submitted for consideration. The winner will receive a Wolf Camera Gift Certificate along with the honor and recognition of having their winning photo grace the cover of the 2009 Mint Hill Highland Games program.
The winning photograph will be selected by the Mint Hill Scottish Society Board of Directors along with the Jones family.
